Who needs to work on Fridays???

Nate's parents are in town this weekend, so, I  thought it was only right for me to take the day off today (cough, cough).  So, my sweet mother-in-law accompanied me to Louisville today to see my sister and her kiddos and "pop" in at the CIS office... you know, just to say hi (and "happen" to see if they knew anything about our I 171H).  

We didn't get a ton of info, but more than the automated response machine gives you.  (Don't we all just love those things?)  Basically, I can stop fretting that our approval letter had been thrown out with the junk mail, because our paperwork is still sitting in their office (bittersweet news, I guess you would say).  And, we are getting "close" to the front of the approval line, so we can maybe expect our approval in the next couple of weeks. :)  (Note to self: "next couple of weeks" can easily translate to another month or so.)  

That's the latest.  I'll keep you all posted!  Here is a picture of the checklist I made for our dossier.  Do you see the two empty circles toward the top???  These will one day be checked off... one day... one day....

Duke and Duncan really wanted to be on my blog today, so we had a photo shoot, and here are their best shots.  Aren't they so stinkin' cute???

Several months ago, I got to go to the Mad Potter with some friends of mine.  Here is a picture of the picture frame I made for our sweet little guy.  I can't WAIT to have a sweet little face to put inside of that heart!  I'm not much of an artist, so please excuse the horrible paint job, but I love keeping this picture frame next to our dossier checklist to remind me of the BIG PICTURE.
