Fridays are ALWASY great days, but this Friday was THE BEST. I honestly wasn't expecting our approval until Monday or Tuesday of this next week, so I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this letter in our mailbox on Friday afternoon. I was telling my mom that after waiting for 7 weeks, I thought for sure that the letter would be bright pink, maybe even in a special "celebratory" package or something... but here it is. A simple white piece of paper with typed words on it... but it's the most beautiful white piece of paper I think I've ever seen (at least up to this point in our journey). :)
To tell you how over-the-top particular I am, as soon as I brought this in from our mailbox, I made a copy of it and immediately stuck it in our fire-safety box. I know, I'm a dork.
So, I promised you all that I would be doing the approval dance... well, it was kind of hard to take pictures of myself doing this dance, so I waited until Nate and I could dance together and our sweet friend, Emily, could capture the moment.
This was as crazy as we could get in the restaurant last night... I guess Nate thinks that "thumbs up" is dancing... now I remember why we never go dancing together. :) (Love you, babe.)
So, after a weekend of celebrating, I wanted to capture our joy with one last picture. Hmmm.... who in our family would do the best job of expressing his excitement over this BIG STEP in the adoption process??? Of course....
Duncan really was excited, I promise. :)
So, thank you to all of you who are helping us enjoy this journey! We can't wait for our little guy to get to meet you all!

I know, we expected the letter to look so much more impressive. Maybe I should put ours in the fire safe box too! Now you got me nervous about that. Anyway, glad you got a chance to celebrate. We put ours on hold until Brad was off work. He worked this weekend. Take care. Now lets hope for a quick wait to hear that we really are waiting!LOL!
