Remember the post about a week ago entitled "CELEBRATE"? Well, this is the same post... minus the cool CNN picture. Yep, TODAY is actually the correct day to "celebrate." (Sorry for the confusion). P.S. Today is exactly 5 months from the day we turned in our application to adopt. How cool!
We officially sent off our LAST DOCUMENT for our dossier today, requested by our agency and the country we are adopting from. An additional document was added to the dossier this past Friday, so all families were asked to get this document done and added to their paperwork as soon as possible.
So, my hero-of-a-husband took the document to Frankfort today to get a pretty gold seal, and I was able to ship things off today after school! Whew! (We have become quite the team!)
The FedEx man actually said, "You're back!" when I walked into the store today. When I was leaving, he said, "I'm really going to miss seeing you guys every week." :) I told him that hopefully we would get to bring by a sweet little boy someday soon for him to meet. Thank you, Ken-the-FedEx-guy... you've been a life saver!
Sorry for the premature call to celebration... but hopefully this post is the real deal. :) As far as we understand, this last document should be authenticated in Washington D.C. and sent back to our agency by next week sometime, and hopefully our dossier will be off to Ethiopia soon! Thanks for following us on this journey and encouraging us as we go! We are so blessed by you all!

We have to celebrate everything we turn in, its hard work! Yes we were quick getting the new document out of the way, I just wanted it to be with the rest of the dossier as soon as we could. Looks like you did the same. It's so great knowing we are so much closer to our babies..........
Hey! I know another delay is frustrating, but just think about how you thought we did our dossier so fast. It went to Ethiopia 5 months to the day after we applied... you're only a week or two behind! You did all the other stuff with lightning speed just so you could accomodate all these delays and still be speedy. (Of course I'm sure you didn't know that at the time!)
happy 5 months!!
i am glad you got everything taken care of so quickly. i know how frustrating it must be to be held up by one more thing...but hopefully it won't delay your very long (if at all)!
we sent our POA off on tuesday...poor people in DC are probably being bombarded right now! we should be keeping them pretty busy :)
congrats again! can't wait to see the post were you announce that you are waiting!!

Uh oh, we didn't either!, I did it so quickly, didn't read we had to do that, but do you think that is something they could just call and ask us what our numbers are? I'm hoping we are still in the clear, they would of contacted us by now,I'm assuming. Again were in this together, lets just wait and see. Have a great weekend. Erin
