CELEBRATE!

We're a pretty big deal, so when I was at the Capitol Building finishing up our last document yesterday, I wasn't surprised that CNN was there to cover our story... (I hope you can sense my sarcasm here...)

... come to find out, CNN was there for other reasons (and did not want to interview me),  so I decided to celebrate the occasion with Nate at one of my favorite places instead...  (not Kroger)

Sonic rocks.  I love that this place has a "Happy Hour" at 2pm in the afternoon and that people wear roller skates.  And boy, was this a happy hour, because.....

IT'S OFF!!!!!!  This is the last piece--the I 171H--signed, sealed, and delivered!  It got to our agency this morning, and everything looks good (after a small "scare" last night--THANK YOU so much to those of you who posted and talked me through this mini-panic-attack).

This is my dear friend, Karen, who has helped us complete this paper chase.  Her and her husband have been waiting for a referral for almost 4 months now..... I CAN'T WAIT TO MEET THEIR SWEET LITTLE GIRL!  Thank you, Karen, for putting up with all of my crazy questions!  I hope I can be as helpful for others who are also on this journey!

So, we are celebrating!  As far as we understand, our dossier will be sent off to Washington D.C. in the next week and then off to Ethiopia in the next two weeks or so.  Horray!!!!

Thanks for all of your prayers, support, and encouragement!  Thank you, God, for your sweet mercies every single day and for being with us in every single step of this journey!

Whew! I am very glad for you that it is all done now. That is a nerve wracking deal with the blah blah blah on the back or another piece of paper on the I 171H. Thats what I hate about the whole process. That it even matters whether it is on the back or another page or in the front or whatever. To me, as long as it says what it is supposed to, it should be fine if it is either way. Its just all about jumping thru the hoops. Well, glad it got worked out. Congratulations!
