18 Months and 11 months home!

This week is going to be a bit crazy (and fun!) so I wanted to take a minute, while it's quiet, to jot down some things about this adorable little man that you see above . . .

* Today marks 11 months since we came down the infamous escalator at Bluegrass Airport with our precious gift, Jordan! Wow. I cannot believe it's almost been a whole year of being home with our sweet little man! What a wild ride it's been! We are so so so blessed!!!!

* Jordan will turn 18 months on Tuesday, the 4th. 1 1/2 years old!!! I've heard it said over and over, "It just goes by so fast!" Now, I TOTALLY get what everyone has been saying all of these years. Slow down, sweet Jordan! You are growing up way too fast! :)

18-month milestones . . .

Food: The appetite has not changed. I've heard it's coming, but for now, we still have a VERY good eater on our hands. :) Favorite food: COOKIES!!!!

Personality: Jordan continues to reveal his "true" colors as the days go by. :) We have a VERY sweet, sensitive little man on our hands, but we also have a very stubborn, loud, 110% all-boy as well. Needless to say, I (mommy) am learning how to handle the world of BOY. I've started reading Bringing Up Boys by Dr. James Dobson. So far, very helpful (and comforting to know that my son is a NORMAL boy when he likes to throw, climb, hit, pounce, attack, all of the above . . . ). :)

Vocabulary: Wow! This boy can TALK!!!! All of a sudden, Jordan likes to mimic everything he hears! (uh-oh) Some of his favorite words right now include: applesauce, please, Nat-ee (Natalie), bird, airplane, muh-muh (milk), hello (pronounced "heh-wo"), bye-bye, mommy, daddy, Jayce, and Nee-na (Nana). Some of my favorite moments with Jordan are when I catch him jabbering away when he thinks no one is listening. He is usually talking to someone/something outside, or he is having a very detailed conversations with one of his toys. HILARIOUS!!!!

Sleep: As you already know, we've transitioned to the toddler bed, and things seem to be going pretty smoothly. So far, so good!

Health: Besides the occasional cough and runny nose, we've got a very healthy, happy boy on our hands! Thank you, Jesus!

Favorites: Jordan is really into trains, planes, and cars right now. Oh, and he enjoys anything that he can throw that makes some kind of loud noise when it lands. :)

Happy 18 months, Jordan Bezuneh! We love you and look forward to celebrating our very first Family Day this month with you!!! (more on that later . . . )
