Happy Family Day!!!!

Happy Family Day, 2010! :)

. . . continuing on our trip down memory lane . . .

Our guest bedroom at the House of Hope Guest House

We had this amazing family room all to ourselves because our travel group was so small, so our friends, Nick and Sherry (who were meeting their son, Nathan, that week as well) ended up spending most afternoons with us in our living room. Guess what we did with our extra time? Yep. We watched the Office on DVD. :)

View of Addis from our guest house

Visiting the House of Hope transition home, where Jordan spent the last 3 months before we arrived. This is his House of Hope nanny, who we are forever grateful to for her tender, genuine love for Jordan. What an amazing woman!!!

Jordan is still getting used to these new arms loving on him. :)
p.s. The red car behind me is what picked us up from the airport . . . yep, to hold both Nate and I and our 400,000 pounds of luggage. Hilarious.

Laundry time at the House of Hope transition home. What an amazing place!

Who needs a car seat when you have an Ergo baby carrier? :)

Some of Daddy's first kisses.

First family outing - - the Zoo!

Jordan was not too interested in the lions. He was pooped from such a busy morning of meeting Mommy and Daddy for the first time!

first feeding-- this boy has always known how to eat! :)

One year ago today, Nate and I met our sweet baby Jordan for the very first time!!! The video above takes place about an hour after we first met Jordan. At this point, we just want to soak up every single second with him (and those chunky legs and cheeks)! :) Please forgive me for my annoying repetitious voice . . . I was just so excited, I wasn't sure what to do with myself! I'm so glad we have this video because you get to see up close what Jordan was wearing the first time we met him. Too cute!!!

HAPPY FAMILY DAY!!! I got so emotional when I watched the video--don't think I had ever seen that one. Thank You, God, for Your faithfulness in creating Jordan to be in our "forever family".

I LOVE THAT YOU'VE NAMED THIS DAY "FAMILY DAY"!!! I kept thinking about the anniversary of your return to Kentucky being next week. But I forgot that you met him before we did! Has a whole year already gone by? In the video Jordan is smiling at you, but his eyes are not so sure about who you are. Not anymore!! I love how God has fused you three together over these months. I've seen how he smiles and looks at you now. "That's MY mommy." That's right little man!
Love you and your special family, Stef!!

HAPPY GOTCHA DAY (a little late, sorry) Great pics Stef!!! Can you send me the pic of the HOH with the laundry hung up? Nate got so many good pics! Seems like we were just there...oh and thanks for letting us crash your place and watch the office! Don't know what we would have done without you guys :) Hope to see you soon. Give Jordan lots of hugs for me.
