I hate goodbye's...

Today was our last day in Ethiopia. Tomorrow, we will be "en route," so probably no blog update. Just know that one year ago tomorrow, Nate and I were walking tirelessly up and down the aisles of an airplane trying everything we could think of to get our 6-month-old angel to fall sleep. :)

On our final day with the House of Hope staff, we enjoyed a beautiful traditional Ethiopian meal and coffee ceremony. I continue to be amazed when I think back on the hospitality and generosity of these people. I miss them!!!

We said our final goodbye's to Tsegaye, his wife, Almez, Tesfu, and the others we had met at the guest house. Our hearts will always hold a very special place for these folks (and secretly, I hope we get to visit them again very soon). :)

on a side note . . . see those marble stairs behind us inside the guest house? well, about 2 minutes after this picture, i ran back upstairs, with jordan, to grab something, and on my way down, I FELL down those stairs . . . holding my brand new baby boy! wow. by far, my most embarrassing and scary moment ever in my life. luckily, we were all okay, but i'm pretty sure i will always be remembered as the "white lady that fell down the stairs holding her son." :)

. . . here we go . . . on our way to meet all of our friends and family back in Kentucky!!!!

P.O.O.P.E.D. :)
