Continuing to remember our amazing week in Ethiopia . . .
By this time, we were starting to "settle in" as best as possible as a new family. :) We were so blessed to have a good sleeper and eater in our sweet little man, so we really just had to focus on hugging and kissing and oohing and aahhing . . . you know, all the fun stuff! The next few days in Ethiopia included some sight-seeing, lounging around the guest house, our VISA APPOINTMENT (kind of HUGE deal), and more sights and sounds of Ethiopia.

Day 2 with our little man . . . could he not totally be the next Gerber baby? I mean, really!!!

Nate went to Entoto Mountain and took some amazing pics. I stayed at the guest house with a very poopy little man. :)

The strength of an Ethiopian woman . . . really no words for this . . . just let it soak in.

Day 3 with the big man. Learning to sit up on our own. Check out those rolls!!!

A beautiful picture of community.

Jordan's "crib." :)

VISA DAY!!!! We were so excited to "pass" our visa interview and know that our sweet man was OFFICIALLY coming home with us in just a few short days! (On a side note: What a joy to get to bring your son home, but I also must say that the pain of taking him from his birth country is far greater than I could have imagined. He will be missing an amazing, beautiful, generous, compassionate culture and people group. Such a fine line, here. We can't wait to get to go back to Ethiopia and show Jordan the beautiful place he was born.)
So, to celebrate FAMILY DAY, we invited some friends over for cake and ice cream! All of these special people had joined us to celebrate at the airport a year ago to welcome Jordan to his new home! What a fun year this has been!!!
