Our crazy mailbox

So, we have a bad mailbox.  The cover fell off of it a long time ago, and for months now we have just been leaving our mail out for all to see... secretly, I was hoping that someone else would pick it up and pay our bills for us, but...

Well, with this new adoption journey, every piece of paperwork is like a precious jewel, so a WET or MISSING piece of paperwork is like a major catastrophe.  So, Nate has tried to fix the mailbox twice now, and we currently have a mailbox with a cover, but it juts out from our brick stand about 6 inches.  Yep, the mailbox is too big for the stand.  So, we still have a broken mailbox--one that STILL doesn't protect our mail from this crazy Kentucky weather.

Where is she going with this, you must be asking.

Well, this morning, on my way to school, I asked God to take care of our mail, because we are waiting on lots of very important paperwork for our dossier.  Silly prayer, you would think, but NO....  He actually did it.  No kidding.

I reached into the mailbox and the stuff inside was SOAKED... except for one letter that was stuffed into the middle of the pile.  Yep, that ONE letter was nice and dry, and it was a reference letter from Nate's dad that we are using for our dossier.  Crazy!  I laughed the whole way back inside the house.  Who knew that God cares about our mail, too?

Hope you have enjoyed God's sweet love in some way today, too!

(by the way, the soaked stuff was dumb stuff.. the kind of mail you want to throw away anyways!)
