So, I started to write these things in my journal, but then I realized that I get so much joy from hearing what God is doing in other people's lives, that maybe some of you would benefit from this list.
These are some THINGS I AM AMAZED BY THAT GOD HAS DONE... (obviously a "condensed" version... is it the gospel writer, John, who says that if we wrote down everything Christ had done, there wouldn't be enough books for it??? Not sure, but that sounds familiar.)
* Today being the Thursday before Easter, I am amazed that Christ said to his disciples on this day, "Love one another as I have loved you," knowing full well what was facing him. I am amazed that Christ went to the cross for us. AMAZED. Here's a quote that I read this morning online, "Live your life in a way that gives life to others." I think that is something we can keep in mind as we reflect on how Christ gave his life for us, and he has called us to give our lives for one another. This quote made sense to me. I hope it encourages you.
* I am amazed at how God is taking Nate and I on this journey toward adoption. I am blown away by the story that he has written for us, for this precious little guy, and for his beautiful family. God keeps making it SUPER OBVIOUS that He is FOR all of us and that He loves each of us dearly. So far this week, God has amazed us with a completed home study and a very quick turn-around on some paperwork that we thought would take longer. SO COOL!!!!
* I am amazed at God's creation. Today is the first day of spring, and I love that the blue sky and warmer temps are here to prove it! What a joy! The birds were even chirping differently this morning, it seemed.
* I am amazed that Nate and I have been blessed with such God-centered friends and family. We don't go a single day without a word of encouragement (or hundreds) from these wonderful people who pour so much into our lives. WE LOVE YOU ALL!!!!
Like I said, a pretty "condensed" list, but I hope we all take a second today to "taste and see that He is good." I know I miss out on this joy all too often!

stef, thanks for sharing your thoughts! you have encouraged me today--that day after easter, actually!... all too often, for whatever reason, i get trapped in the monotony of life or something and don't take the time to reflect on God's grace and love poured on us every minute of every day!! thanks for the reminder! i'm so glad to be sharing in this season of your life! praise God for the internet, right?!!
