I'm currently sprawled out on my fluffy red recliner, barely able to keep my eyes open long enough to write this (ok, a little over-dramatic, but...). What a week! It's all been good, but I'm glad it's Friday! Can I get an amen?
* Nate traveled back and forth to Cincinnati this week to speak at Know Sweat (CIY conference), so I think I just got tired for him every day... even though he was the one doing all the work. :) I got to go on Tuesday night to hear him teach. He did a great job!
* Wednesday night, my friend Em and I got to be a part of one of the most amazing things I think I've ever experienced. To make a long story short, Jon, our pastor, asked for volunteers to come to church on Wednesday night to share their stories on large cardboard signs--on one side, who we were before, and on the flip side, who we've become because of Christ. About 50 people showed up to volunteer their stories... and, well, let's just say I will never forget what happened. It was the most powerful, authentic community I have every experienced. I actually ended up writing about it this week, and I shared it today with the class.
* Also this week, our agency got 6 more referrals (for 4 families)! Holy smokes! Congratulations to all the happy families! I still get chills every time I think about how God pairs us up so perfectly.... we can't even see each other's faces, but He has already written our stories to intersect with one another. How amazing!
* And finally, my sweet friend, Em, lost her Nana this week, after a long, 7-week battle following a stroke. Nana knew the Lord, so Em and her family are rejoicing that she is home now, but it is still hard to see her go. Pray for Em and her family as they suffer this loss.
So.... when I got home from class today, the recliner was looking especially nice... and is feeling very comfy... and will probably be my resting place for the remainder of the evening. Yep. Good plan.
Have a great, RELAXING, weekend! :)
