Field Trip... and 2 more days!!!

This is High Bridge in Wilmore, KY (about 20 minutes from my house).  How pretty is this?  Trains still use the bridge--can you believe that?  I got to visit High Bridge yesterday with some of my teacher friends--2 of us had never seen it before, so we took ourselves on a mini field trip after school.  Good times! (Thanks, Jeanine, for the picture!)

And........

This is a perfect picture of how I feel about 2 more days of school.

Ok, what can you do for 2 days???

* hold your breath? (no, I think that's more like 20 minutes or something...)
* go without sleep (for sure... but boy, would I be cranky)
* go without TV (unless LOST, The Office, or American Idol is on... I know, I'm bad)
* eat only marshmallows and survive (yummy...I might actually try this one)

These are just a few of the things that I would rather be doing for the next two days other than school. :)  Ok, so it's really not that bad, but the kids are SO DONE, and I am SO DONE, so that makes for some long days and some pretty fake smiles.   I have great kids, I really do, but at this point in the year, you all just want to run up and down the halls and scream, "WE'RE OUT OF HERE!"  Instead, we are studying for finals, taking finals, and watching an enriching video from our school library to fill time.  Good times.

Adoption news, you ask?  One of our documents was sent to Ethiopia today--our first piece of paper in the country!  Whoo-hoo!!!!  We are still waiting to hear that the rest of our dossier has been sent, so we'll keep you posted!  Hoping for this week! :)
