Sometimes you just need to give a shout out...

Just want to highlight some (OF THE MANY) really incredible women in my life. These ladies deserve WAY MORE than a blog post, but I want them to know today how very much I love and appreciate them! I just wish they ALL lived in Kentucky! :)

1. Heidi: Lovely, oh-so-wise, humble, God-honoring, drove-all-the-way from Texas to KY to meet Jordan, completely and totally in love with Jesus, and one my greatest prayer warrior partners in life.

2. My mom and my sis: There's not even enough words (or the right ones) to describe these two. My mom is the most generous, selfless person I have ever met, and my sister is the most loyal, servant-hearted mom and wife I know. Oh, and did I mention that my sister has 3 kids and has had a broken arm FOREVER and is still trusting God through it all? Oh, and that my mom has given up a majority of her winter to help my sister during this season of change? Yep, these women are top notch. Top notch!!! Not many people get to have a cool sister AND a cool mom! Pretty awesome!!!

3. (from left to right: Britt, Sarah, Sara, me, and JB). These are my Missouri friends... all of which were in my wedding. :) Each of these ladies has helped me know and trust and treasure Jesus more and more and more. I think it's so amazing how God placed each of these women in my path AT JUST THE RIGHT TIME, helping me to seek HIM more. Have I mentioned that IT STINKS living so far away from my Missouri friends??? Love you all!!!
4. Sweet Angie (also known by Jordan as "Silas' mommy") Angie CARRIED me through our journey to Jordan... all the way until the day she called us FROM ETHIOPIA to tell us some really good news!!!! :) Angie lives in Atlanta, but we somehow manage to see each other at least twice a year... including NEXT WEEKEND when we get to spend the whole weekend together at an adoption retreat WITH NO KIDS!!! Aaaahhhhh!!!! I can't wait!!!

5. My mother-in-law is going to kill me for posting this picture... sorry Jill! :) Jill and Nikki Head. Jill has taught me something VERY important about life: "Worry about nothing; pray about everything." The best thing about Jill is that she doesn't just talk about trusting Jesus... she REALLY DOES!!!! And my sweet sister-in-law, Nikki... could she be any more beautiful??? She is just so precious, inside and out. I love her passion for family... I love her competitive spirit when we play cards (SOMEBODY has to be able to compete with those HEAD boys), and I love her love for Jesus. It just radiates through her all the time. LOVE YOU LADIES!

6. My sweet baby buds, Nakada and Emily. You know, these ladies deserve a book to be written about them... they really do. The book would be called Keeping our friend, Stef, sane, through the journey of infertility, moving to Kentucky, and raising a 2 year old. I don't mean to rub it in to anyone reading this, but you couldn't possibly have friends as great as these.... :) Love you ladies so so so so much!
