Romans 4: 20-21
"Yet he (Abraham-you know, the dude who was 100 and his wife was infertile, but God promised they would have a child... and they did) did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to god, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised."
I just absolutely love these verses.
Am I FULLY PERSUADED that God has the power to carry out his promises???
Promises like . . .
God is always working all things together for the good of those who love him, who are called according to his purpose.
and . . .
God will never leave or forsake me.
and . . .
God is able to save completely those who come to Him through Jesus.
and . . .
I am God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God created in advance for me to do.
and . . .
on and on and on . . . .
What joy and relief there is in being fully persuaded.
Praying for the strength to daily trust the promises of my God!
I hope this encourages you today!
***please note: all is well in the Head house... sometimes posts like these spark thoughts that maybe something is devastatingly wrong... promise that I just was encouraged by these verses today and wanted to share them with you too. :)
