Happy Certificate of US Citizenship Day, Jordan! :)
I was trying to explain to Jordan what this "special" piece of paper stood for, and all I could think to say was, "You are officially a US Citizen now." He looked at me like, "And?"
So, I said, "But you will ALWAYS be Ethiopian, sweet boy. You will ALWAYS be from Ethiopia."
He got the sweetest little smile across his mouth, and I nearly melted to the floor.
Love my sweet Jordan Bezuneh Head.
