A Sabbatical

What a fun weekend!  Nate and I got to go to New Albany on Saturday and see my sweet Halle and Jayce (and Rach and Cody)!  :)  Halle had her very first piano recital, and she did GREAT!!!  I've been trying to post a video from the recital, but blogger is not cooperating--sorry!  Here are a couple of pictures from the big day!

Jayce found a perfect place to hang out on the floor while Halle and the others performed at the recital.  I love this look.

Here she is!  This is right before we left for the recital.  Isn't she beautiful?  Way to go, Halle!  We are so proud of you!

***Adoption Update***

First, I want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH to all of you who are praying for us and our little guy and encouraging us in the journey.  We could never do this without you guys!

I have decided to take a nice little break from the blogging/Yahoo Group world for the next little while.  Even as I type this, I'm thinking, "Stefany!  Are you kidding?  How will you survive without your blog and your blogging buddies?"

However, I know that you will still be praying, and the best part is that God works all things together for HIS GOOD (which is our greatest joy) . . . whether I blog or not.  :)

So, for the next several weeks, I'm going to take a break and let myself just live in the NOW.  As many close friends and family members have reminded me lately (THANK YOU), this will be the last season of my life of not being a mom.  The last season of just me and Nate.  And the last season of teaching, for the time being.  So, instead of focusing so much on "what's next," I think I'll try and pour myself into the RIGHT NOW and see how that goes for a while.

Also, to be honest, I really like to be surprised (and Nate loves the element of surprise as well).  So, hopefully, this way, the CALL letting us know that we've been matched with a child will be a complete surprise . . . how fun will that be????

Now, before you go and think that I am "so self-controlled" or something crazy like that, please know that I am NOT the one who thought of this.  :)

Thanks again for everything, guys!  We love you all!

. . . and we look forward to letting you know when we get THE CALL! :)

I know you haven't been blogging lately, but I really do feel our time is coming, I have to admit this week has been hard for me since we have not seen referrals in almost 3 weeks, but I still have a gut feeling we are close...Hang in there..Erin

Hi Stefany,

Thanks for the comment. How exciting that you might be getting "the call" anytime now. I was so excited for Angie...you would have thought it was ME getting the call. LOL I look forward to following your blog (when you log back on, that is). :)
