I can't believe it's actually time to start another year! Crazy! I literally haven't thought TWICE about school this summer... I've just been enjoying the days! So, today was quite a shock when I walked up to my room and saw that I actually have stuff to do (and all before the kids come back on Wednesday--YIKES)! Oh well. This, too, shall pass. :)
It's going to be a good year--- perhaps we will even get the "call" about our sweet little guy by Christmas???? Now, wouldn't that be a fun gift? However, I'm trying not to put all my marbles in that jar because things are slowing down a bit, but we are still VERY FORTUNATE to be working with such a quick program, as compared to many other domestic & international adoptions that can take several years. It becomes more and more obvious as time goes by that God's timing is exactly perfect, as we wait for our sweet little guy.
Please pray that as we wait, Nate and I are obedient to Christ's call on our lives RIGHT NOW. As I am VERY much looking forward to being a mom, I do not want to miss the amazing opportunities I'm going to have each day in Room 219 to encourage my students and let them know they are loved and valued by God and by me. Please pray that I will care just as much about my students as I do about our future son. I hope that these students will get to rejoice with Nate and I this year as we meet our little guy for the very first time! I know that God can use this journey we are on to really encourage those around us, and I pray that is exactly what happens!
Love you all!

Girl you are always so focused on others and how you can be Christ to them. I know you are patiently awaiting your little man, but I also know God is going to use you in the lives of those students. They are so fortunate to have Mrs. Head....I love ya. It's time to celebrate...
Wow! Cannot believe summer is over and school is starting! Our little Bradley starts kindergarten! As fast as the summer went, it puts into perspective just how long we have been waiting (together). It went by so fast, I think, and before you know it, it will be Halloween, Thanksgiving and then Christmas, when I hope we both at least hope to have seen our little ones faces.
stef, i love your blog, have i mentioned that?... i saw your mama lastnight and we chatted about YOU!:) i can't believe it's already time for school!! Z is starting preschool! CRAZY!!!.... when your little guy is starting preschool (before you know it!) this time of waiting will seem like nothing!... love you, girl!!:)
you are such a blessing to those kids. i will definitely be thinking about you and praying for you as school starts. it is hard to remember the amazing difference your love for them is making, so i'll be praying that God gives you daily reminders that encourage you and impact students' lives.
BTW, just figured out recently that we have a mutual friend- Shannon Noah. She lives right behind us. :)
btw, that was supposed to be me, erin, not eric...:)
hey this is such a random question but does Baby Boy have a name. I keep praying for his as the Head Baby, and John Hunter points to his Head everytime we pray... it is too darn cute, but if the baby had a name that we were sharing, maybe i could make it through our prayer time without laughing and my joker of a son! Let me know... I am put TONS OF STUFF in boxes for you guys!
Kendra,
You are HILARIOUS! Thank you so much for praying for our little man! That means A TON to us! No, we don't have a name yet, but my niece calls him "Toda," so feel free to use that, if you like! :)
Wow I can't believe it is back to school already! My kids do not start until after labor day. I think they would flip out if they started in Aug.. ! LOL
