Hello friends! Sorry it's been so long, but I've been a travelin' fool! :) While Nate's been out of town at Know Sweat, I hopped in the car and went to New Albany to see my sis and her family and then on to see my mom and dad and in-laws in Missouri! So much fun! Here are some pictures of the road trip! Mom came back with me, so the trip home was a lot easier than the lonely trip there... thanks, mom, for joining me! (We got to stop at CHI in St. Louis on the way home--- how cool!!!!)

Jayce and his friend, Faith, mowing mulch in Faith's backyard--how cute are they???

Cody got a hammock for his 30th birthday---he is getting OLD!!!!!!!

I got to hang out with my sweet friend, Brit, from Webb City! Good times!

Jayce is zoning out and I'm "sun-kissed," as I prefer this term to "burnt" :)

Here we are at Children's Hope International in St. Louis! This is my friend, Toni, who is handling our adoption case. (Toni will be the one to call us and let us know we got a referral!) She is AWESOME and took time out of her super-busy schedule to show us around the building, meet lots of fun people, and even sit down and look at pictures from her time in Ethiopia! Thanks, Toni! I will never forget this!

I got to eat dinner with Nate's parents while I was in Missouri. I have the best in-laws EVER!!!!

Mom and I went to the pool one day, and mom had an unforgettable experience with an inner tube. Let's just say, the inner tube robbed Mom of her "head above water--hair stays fixed" rule while she's at the pool. Mom, you're hilarious! Love ya! :)

This is my pop, my dad's dad. He is my only remaining grandparent, and he is SO SWEET. Just look at him! I love my pop, and I'm so proud of him! He is such a godly man and has been such a great example to our family. While I was in Missouri, we helped Pop move in to his new apartment at Spring River Christian Village. Here he is standing outside of his new "crib," as I like to call it.

Halle came to my house to play with Duncan . . . or at least, that's what Duncan thinks. :)

Halle is quite the hula-hoop queen! Look at her go!

Like father, like son. (Cody did this to Jayce--he is laughing hysterically at his son in this picture.)

Last, but not least . . . Mom insisted that we park here when we went to Babies R Us this week. I just HAD to take a picture. :)
Hope your summers are still going well! Thanks for following our journey! We're off to Illinois and then Colorado for the next week, so I'll take more pictures and catch up when I get back!
P.S. Thanks for all the input on our bedding choice! I have yet to show Nate that my choice CRUSHED his choice, so if you have any suggestions of how I can give him this news gently, that would be great! :)

mt suggestion on breaking it to him is order it and when it comes in he will get the idea:) Just kidding! I do love the bedding. Also mark your calendar for the little lambs/ little elks sale. From toys to mattresses they have it all... email me for dates!
You need to say..."babe, I love you and appreciate your sugguestion for our sweet babies bedding, however that is not what we are going with. I WON!!!! I love you."
Hey babe! I just wanted to let you know you made my blog as well....i think my name should work now, i think i was just inactive for too long. :) Oops!
stef...you should definitely park in expectant mother parking until your little one arrives! One of the many perks of waiting for a baby! looks like you had a fun time with your mom! have fun in CO, and keep my father-in-law in line!
stef, it was SOO fun seeing you!! i'm glad your travels were safe and sound, and also that you're back HOME! isn't it nice to be home?!!! so, on telling nate... hmmmm.... maybe you could let him pick out something else--sort of trade him or something... for instance, let him pick out the stroller or something.... furniture/bedding for a stroller--that sounds fair to me!:)
