I have a life again!

Grad class is over, and summer has officially begun!  Whoo-hoo!  While I really did enjoy meeting new friends and having some time to write these past 4 weeks, I am SO READY to sleep in, lay in the sun, and start to think baby. :)  My grad class continues into the fall, but I don't really have to think much about it until school starts, so MY BRAIN IS ON HOLD for now.  And I'm lovin' it!

Here are some pics of where I've been the last 4 weeks.  Downtown Lexington is beautiful... I wish gas wasn't so stinkin' expensive; I would love to spend more time down there, but it takes about 20-30 minutes to get downtown from our place, so for now, I think I'll stay put in good ole' Nicholasville.
The Carnegie Center--where I had class each day

The patio at Cheapside--a restaurant downtown

A courtyard outside of a very old, small church downtown--beautiful church, by the way!

DeSha's--a well-known restaurant across from Triangle Park--love the look of this building!

My carpooling buddies, Bridey and Whitney
(I know I look terrible--don't ask me what I was wearing.  It was the last day--I was just proud of myself for getting out of bed one more time)

Gratz Park--behind the Carnegie Center
We ate lunch here almost every day.  There's a beautiful fountain toward the back that you can't see.

Just love the red door!

Last, but certainly not least--this is the scary parking garage that we had to use each day.  It really wasn't that scary, but it was pretty rickety!

With today being a holiday, Nate and I had planned to join our friends at the lake, but it's a pretty rainy/gloomy day here, so instead we chose to hang out at home and do absolutely nothing.  :)  Lovin' it!  We're hoping for some sun tomorrow and Sunday so we can enjoy the outdoors, but for today, we are just enjoying a little R & R!  Hope your weekends are relaxing as well!  Happy 4th!
