Hi friends!
Today marks a very special day... 6 weeks of waiting and . . . we ordered our baby furniture today!!! Who knew that ordering a crib and a dresser could be so exciting! I mean, I always knew I would one day order baby furniture (or at least I hoped I would) but today it actually happened.... AND IT WAS SO FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you want to check it out, you can go here. We ordered the crib and the "combo" in black. The "combo" is actually designed a bit differently than the picture (it doesn't have the panel on the very bottom below the drawers). We should have it in the next 6 weeks, so Nate and I still have some time to continue to "discuss" back and forth our choice of bedding. :)

Other than that, we're just pluggin' along! Still enjoying some R & R and getting ready to head to my sister's on Saturday and then on to Missouri on Sunday! Can't wait to see friends and family! Don't worry... I'll take LOTS of pictures! :)

i vote for bali, hands down!! i think it would look so great with the black furniture!
personally, i prefer more non-themed rooms because then you can play with the accessories more and you don't get sick of the theme!
just my two cents!! i am sure they would both look wonderful though :)

I vote BALI. Love it!!! I don't know what is wrong with me but I got so emotional looking at that bedding. I kept picturing the little guy in his room and got all choked up!

I'm thinking Nate's definitely going to be outnumbered on this one! I love the Bali stuff! Good taste! (It must run in the family!:) I can't wait to see that little guy in there!
I vote Bali because I think it is awesome. Eric as well wanted to do a sports theme and my response to that was he will have the rest of his life to be into sports. So I think a toddler/little boy room is perfect in sports. I saw Bali now, sports later:)

I vote for Bali but think both are cute, and agree with Kendra that a sports team would be a great choice when he's older and can be excited about sports. :)

ok, so i just had to stick up for nate and your son: obviously you should go with the sports one. 'bali'...come on now, what even is that? when i hear it or read it i definitely think more feminine thoughts....so i'm glad i could help you make your decision.....ha (just in case you were wondering...this is sterling and luke's opinion)
AH Ha! I've found you (from your comment on Jeanine's)! You are now officially linked on our blog as well so I'll be checking back often. I can't wait to follow your adoption story. We're talking more and more seriously about starting our own journey. :)
My vote: I love the bali theme. You can probably use some pieces later in other settings with other themes where the sports theme always has to be sports. It's cute sports, but bali for sure.
I loved the bali bedding. Love the colors, and think that it would look awesome with your furniture and wall stuff. (I can't spell it). I miss you friend.

I love the bali one. But I too am more partial to none "theme" decor. It's really cute. Mason's room was done in modern turquoise/brown/tan. I thought it was good to pick decor that I wouldn't mind having for a girl either. Got to think down the road to more babes ;) Isn't it fun to baby shop! Just wait till you register, Nate will get to hold the cool scanner gun! Fun times
stef, it was SO fun seeing you the other day! thanks for stopping by! i miss you.... and about the furniture--they're both adorable! it's SO hard to choose sometimes--fun, but hard to agree:) no matter what, that baby is going to be loved and treasured, which is the most important thing!! love you, girl!:)
