Random Thoughts . . . because I actually have time . . .

It's very rare that the house is quiet these days, and I have a few minutes to spare. So, because both of these things are happening at once, I better take advantage of it . . .

Jordan Update

* He is officially 2 1/2 today.

* He is still eating like a champ. Favorites: waffles, cookies, mandarin oranges, peanut butter & jelly

* His vocabulary continues to amaze me. He is speaking in full sentences for the most part these days, with one of his favorites being, "Where is (insert WHOEVER)'s car?" He also enjoys singing and dancing. He is quite the entertainer, once he gets going.

* Temper tantrums are still an issue . . . changing weekly in their style. From stomping his feet to arching his back and growling, he continues to prove that he is 2 1/2 years old. :) Nate and I just continue to strive for CONSISTENCY and a whole lot of firm, loving discipline during this stage. We believe it will eventually pay off . . . when he's 18. :)

* If it were up to Jordan, he would be with his daddy 24/7. He absolutely adores Nate, and one of his favorite things to do these days is run in Nate's closet, retrieve ALL of Nate's hats, and put on a "fashion show" of hats for me, describing each one. It is adorable, of course. :)

* We are coming up on celebrating 2 years since we very first met Jordan . . . more on that to come later. We are in love, love, love!!!!

Baby Head Update

* Baby Head does (kinda) have a name . . . we are just choosing to not share it publicly at this point. Stay tuned....

* At 28 weeks, I'm still feeling GREAT! Thank you, Jesus! My belly just keeps growing and growing . . . I literally look like I swallowed a large beach ball at this point.

* I think my favorite thing so far about being pregnant is feeling Baby Head move around inside my belly. I am just so amazed that God is creating LIFE in there!!!! Blows. Me. Away.

* Jordan's thoughts on Baby Head: For the most part, Jordan is very sweet and loving toward my belly... giving lots of kisses, etc. However, Jordan has been known to say, "I can bite Baby Head." So.... we'll obviously have to keep an eye on that one. Who knows???

Life with Jesus

Honestly, my brain cells must be depleting, but I'm having a super hard time concentrating on prayer these days, as well as reading Scripture. I am so so so grateful that God loves me because HE IS LOVE, not because of what I do or who I am. I'm trying to rest in his love these days, soaking up bits and pieces of Scripture as they barely stay put in my brain for more than 2 seconds. I think I'm just enjoying living a life of thankfulness at this point... so thankful for my sweet husband, my sweet Jordan, and this amazing gift of life growing inside of me as well.

My greatest anxiety about this next phase of life . . .

* Well.... I turn 30 in just a few short days. Enough said.

* And, I'm also very anxious about the lack of sleep that is about to overtake both me and Nate with a new baby on the way.

* Oh, and I'm not feeling too calm about birthing a baby either.

Other than that, I'm doing GREAT! :)

Sorry for the ramblings... like I said, my brain cells are definitely depleting with each passing week.
