Meet Callie! (No, we did NOT get another dog.) Our friends, Aaron and Leigh, added Callie to their family this past week. She is a Maltese and weighs a little over one pound. She may get as big as 4 whole pounds! Is she not the cutest thing you've ever seen??? Callie got to come over Thursday night and play with Duncan. Here are some pictures of their new friendship . . .

I don't know if we officially mentioned this, but we are a 1-dog family again. At the end of the summer, Nate and I were able to find a GREAT home for our puppy, Duke. We enjoyed having Duke around for about a year, but as we look to the future, 2 dogs and a baby aren't sounding too fun to me . . . :) So, Duncan is now King of the Hill again; he's feeling pretty great about himself, I think.
Also, this past week, my sweet Pop had to be hospitalized for some stomach issues. To make a long story short, he's recovering from surgery now and is actually doing pretty well, considering he is 94 and just had some pretty major surgery. He's a fighter! We are so glad he came to visit last week, and God is so good to allow him to be healthy while he was here. We love you, Pop, and are praying for a quick recovery!
Still no news in the adoption world, but we are hopeful! We'll be celebrating 14 weeks this next Tuesday, so that's exciting! Maybe getting close to halfway to a picture???? Who knows. God does. :)
