Spring is Here!

It is absolutely gorgeous outside today!  The windows are open, Duncan is curled up at my feet, Nate bought a car today (more to come on that later!) and I'm just chillin' . . . what a great day!

Only one thing is missing....

Yep.  I miss sweet Jordan today.  I read a post not that long ago on a friend's blog about how she was missing her sweet little boy, and she was wondering how that works, since she hadn't even met him yet.  Now, I think I get how she was feeling.  :)

We still don't know exactly when we will travel, but please join us in praying for a court date before July and to be able to pass the first time.  We are really excited to get to bring Jordan home this summer sometime, and we ask God for that gift.  He continues to be so faithful and so gracious toward us in this journey.  We are so thankful we can fully trust Him.

Another very sweet gift this upcoming week is that a friend of mine (we actually have never met; we were able to connect through our agency's Yahoo Group) will be traveling to Ethiopia to pick up her daughter, and she was kind enough to offer to check on Jordan for us.  (Our agency now has a new policy where you can send a notarized "permission to photo" letter with a traveling family, giving them authorization to take a couple of pictures of your child for you--coolest news ever!!!)  So, we are so, so grateful to this family for checking on our precious Jordan for us.  I have already started to smile when I think about him getting hugs (and maybe even kisses!) from our friend and the possibility of seeing some new pictures of him very soon.

So.... all that to say, I'll keep you posted when we hear about our court date!  Feel free to pray with us that we hear about it very soon! :)

Have a great weekend!

Baby Jordan will be wrapped up in your warm embrace before you know it! I just can't wait for the day that you finally get to kiss his sweet cheeks, and rub noses with your son.....like you said God is faithful and He will provide. Love you.
