The Reason I'll Be in School Until July....

Snow Day #4 is here.  Finally, there is actually snow on the ground for this one. :)

Duncan is completely put out that he doesn't have the house to himself, like usual, for the second day in a row.  He's even more mad because I am taking over his recliner today.  Poor guy.

So, all that to say, as of right now, I think we go to school until June 4th.  Awesome.  Oh well.  At least I'm enjoying the days off now, right?  (Remind me of this in June, please.)

Yesterday was a very productive day, as far as adoption paperwork goes.  I was able to send off for copies of our birth certificates and marriage license and get lots of copies made for our home study.  Our second home study meeting is scheduled for Monday, so that's exciting!  Today, I plan to work on a couple of things, but for the most part, I'm just going to take it easy.  (For those of you who have had a head cold lately, you know how draining that feels--I just want to sleep and drink lots of orange juice.  Good day to do nothing.) :)

One last thing, I would like to put in a "plug" for Compassion International.  I know many of you are already sponsors and highly connected to this organization, or organizations like this.  I would like to encourage you all to check out some of the "extra" needs that Compassion lists on their website.  There are some really cool opportunities to partner with Compassion to meet specific needs of lots of different people all over the world.  I'm so thankful for this organization and their heart for people.  I know you all are too.

Happy Wednesday.
