The Nap of the Century

Some random thoughts as Jordan naps for much longer than usual...

* I can't believe my JOB is to stay home with this amazing little man, watch him learn and grow, and get to tell him about Jesus and how much He loves him. So cool.

* Baby Wise told me to help my son learn how to soothe himself to sleep. Very good advice. Something that will come in handy later, I'm sure. MOMMY-WISE told me to pick Jordan up today when he was crying, cuddle with him in the recliner, and fall asleep TOGETHER for an afternoon nap. Baby Wise has NOTHING on that one. :) IT. WAS. AWESOME.

* Jesus is coming back one day... hopefully soon. What a cool thing to look forward to. And, while we wait for His return, how cool is it that we get to be his hands and feet while we're here? I'm so thankful for Christ's work on the cross, so that I'm not just a yucky, lump of dirt anymore. I get to be transformed into a child of God with a great purpose of loving God and loving people! So cool! And, the best part? I don't have to live this life of love on my own strength! Christ IN me.... the HOPE OF GLORY!!!

* Marriage is awesome. Not always easy. But awesome. I love that being a parent is teaching me a whole new realm of marriage. TEAMWORK. :)

* Living on one income is really interesting. :) Actually, really humbling. I didn't realize how foolish I was being with money... eating out is overrated...except for a Panera bagel and chocolate milk every now and then. :)

* Life is good. No, great. No, divine. Absolutely. love. IT.
